ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Product Lead for News & Unstructured Content, you will own the end-to-end user experience for how customers discover, consume and act on news and unstructured content across LSEG Workspace Ecosystem. This spans editorial, real-time monitoring and the many forms of unstructured content that help users stay ahead of the market - bringing these experiences together into a single, coherent, AI-first offering.

You will be responsible for reimagining these experiences from the ground up: not simply migrating what exists today, but rethinking how news and unstructured content should work when AI sits at the centre of discovery, summarisation and personalisation. Your north star is building experiences that users genuinely love - fast, intuitive, and indispensable to their daily workflow.

You will work in close partnership with other channel Product Owners to ensure news and content experiences are first-class on mobile, Microsoft and with LSEG's news and content partnership teams - including Reuters (our exclusive partner), Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, alongside in-house names such as IFR - to bring the best of the world's financial content into Workspace in ways only LSEG can.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Own and evolve the end-to-end user experience for news and unstructured content across Workspace and mobile, bringing editorial, monitoring and other content experiences together into a coherent whole.
  • Set a bold, AI-first vision for how users discover, consume, summarise and act on content - and turn that vision into an outcome-based roadmap your teams can deliver.
  • Partner closely with the Mobile & Microsoft channel Product Owner to deliver seamless, delightful content experiences on mobile, ensuring parity and continuity across Desktop, Web and Mobile.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with news and content partnership teams — including Reuters, Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and in-house sources such as IFR - to shape how partner content is surfaced, differentiated and monetised within Workspace.
  • Lead, coach and mentor a team of multi-disciplined Product Managers in shaping and building products users love.
  • Drive close collaboration across Product, Engineering and Design to deliver consistently high-quality experiences at scale.
  • Be accountable for the Objectives & Key Results for your teams and represent them in quarterly review meetings.
  • Protect performance, reliability and quality on high-traffic content experiences that drive Workspace engagement, monthly active users and retention.
  • Work closely with the wider AI, Office and M365 teams so that content experiences integrate seamlessly into Workspace, Teams and Copilot.
  • Embed a data-informed process so your teams can make fast, good decisions grounded in user behaviour and engagement.
  • Ensure content experiences are commercially viable, deeply understanding LSEG's commercial and content licensing strategies and their influence in the market.
  • Grow, lead, develop and motivate high-performing cross-functional teams of developers, data scientists, product managers and designers.
  • Effectively communicate highly complex ideas at multiple organisational levels, and adapt your approach and style to reflect changing circumstances.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • A proven track record of building delightful, consumer-grade experiences that users love - ideally where content, news or discovery was central.
  • A data-driven product management approach where product decisions are deep rooted in telemetry and user research.
  • Significant experience in a senior product leadership role.
  • Strong instinct for design and user experience, with the judgement to know what "great" feels like and the standards to hold teams to it.
  • Genuine excitement about AI and a point of view on how it transforms how people consume and act on content.
  • Experience delivering across multiple platforms, including mobile.
  • Experience working in large, matrixed organisations and delivering complex, multi-year technology initiatives.
  • Strong technical understanding, with the ability to contribute to discussions on new technologies and approaches.
  • Ability to influence across organisations and build effective relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A curious mindset and an appetite for exploring new technologies to improve how products are built and delivered.
