Hey! We're team Granola 👋 If you haven't already, you should check out what we're building, and why you should work here.

We’re looking for an iOS Engineer who loves building products in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

In this role, you’ll build on the insights gained from our macOS application to create a new iOS app for our users. You’ll engage directly with users to understand their needs and develop the features that matter most to them. As part of the founding team, you’ll play a pivotal role in scaling Granola to reach our next 100x users.

In this role, you will:
  • Co-own the development of our iOS application

  • Explore iOS on-device ML and Apple’s latest foundation models together with Granola’s AI engineers.

  • Prototype our first Apple Watch app from scratch.

  • Use bleeding-edge AI coding tools (Codex, Claude Code, etc.) the moment they ship — no bureaucracy.

  • Work on the latest iOS API’s with a iOS 17.2 minimum deployment target (iOS 18 soon).

  • Share your wildest demos in bi-weekly all-hands sessions and ship the ones that hit.

  • Work in a brand new, fully SwiftUI, MVVM+C codebase without all the inherited legacy traps.

  • Move fast with rapid experimentation and prototyping, shipping the ideas that stick.

  • Develop totally novel interfaces and interactions for audio capture, playback, and a bunch more that make recording feel effortless and delightful.

Your background looks something like:
  • You’ve shipped polished iOS apps end-to-end, whether in SwiftUI or UIKit, and you’re eager to lean into SwiftUI and the latest Apple APIs.

  • You’re curious about on-device ML and AI-driven product features.

  • You’ve worked on high-impact user experiences (maybe chat, audio, or other real-time flows) or you’re excited to stretch into them.

  • Rapid prototyping, demoing work, and iterating with product/design partners feels natural to you.

  • You like working directly with designers and users to uncover problems and ship thoughtful UI.

As a person, you…
  • Are first and foremost a builder

  • Are excited to work in-person from our office in London (most of the time)

  • Love working in a startup environment (you either have experience working in a startup or are really drawn to the zero-to-one phase)

  • Value working with people who are kind, ambitious and pragmatic

  • Have an interest in AI/ML (direct experience not required)

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and priorities

About the opportunity

We are living in the most exciting time for tool builders since Engelbart's demo in 1968. We want to assemble the best crew to build this future together, here in London. Our compensation philosophy is to pay slightly above market on salary and above market on equity.

We do our best work in person, and so our team spends time together five days per week in our new, bright, and spacious office at Old Street. We are happy to offer relocation assistance to candidates who'll be moving to London to join us.

Lastly, we think amazing talent comes from all kinds of life journeys and experiences. If what is written above speaks to you, whether you look like a fit on paper or not, please reach out.
