Product Development Manager - Public Markets

This is a brilliant role for someone with experience of completing product proposals and feasibility assessments for new regulated products and project managing the legal and operational delivery of new product launches.

A bit about the job:

We are recruiting for a Product Development Manager to join our Product Development team. Our Global Product team is accountable for the end to end lifecycle of product - from defining the 1-5 year product strategy roadmap; assessing, structuring and launching new products, and the proactive management of existing products to ensure these remain fit for purpose.  The Product Development team within Global product plays a critical role in creating, structing, and delivering innovative investment strategies to our global investors.

As a Product Development Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle of designing and launching regulated public markets funds. This role involves conducting detailed feasibility assessments, securing governance approvals, and managing the end-to-end legal and operational launch of new funds. You will act as the central point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders, including client facing distribution teams, front office, legal, compliance, operations, and finance teams ensuring seamless coordination and delivery.  You’ll be responsible for defining product features, drafting prospectuses, managing fund builds and ensuring all risk and control frameworks are adhered to. It is an exciting time to join as our business is seeking to innovate in areas such as fund tokenisation and active exchange-traded fund (ETF) space.

The role requires strong project management skills, commercial awareness and proven fund launch expertise. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in launching new regulated investment products into the UK and/or European markets and a track record of delivering complex initiatives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:
  • Track record of successfully developing and launching products in the UK and cross border UCITS landscape.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience - ideally Investment Management Certificate (IMC) or similar but not required.
  • Regulatory and product technical knowledge within Public Markets across all asset classes - fixed income, equities, multi asset.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable in all environments – colleagues, team members, internal, external, etc.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills - with the ability to translate technical knowledge to those with non-technical product backgrounds.
What you’ll get for this role:
  • Generous pension scheme - Aviva will contribute up to 14%, depending on what you put in
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus
  • Family friendly parental and carer’s leave
  • Generous holiday entitlement plus bank holidays with the option to buy/sell up to 5 additional days
  • Up to 40% discount for Aviva products
  • Aviva-funded Private Medical Benefit to help you get expert support when you need it
  • Brilliant flexible benefits including electric cars
  • Aviva Matching Share Plan and Save As You Earn scheme
  • 21 volunteering hours per year
