The Team

The Global Brand Assurance team delivers knowledgeable, efficient and timely review of licensed product to protect our brands and facilitate our growth. The team is just one year old and is continuously striving to improve the way we work within the wider Consumer Products organisation.

Job Description

The Opportunity

Product Approval Coordinators manage and process global consumer products submissions for Mattel brands. The opportunity spans product development across all our fantastic brands, a breadth of categories and multiple regions across the world. This includes supporting licensees with brand immersion, providing feedback in the required amount of time, working with our Global and Regional creative teams to reflect their creative direction in their products. We work with licensees to find solutions to issues and support use of the product approval system.

What Your Impact Will Be:

 

  • Being brand guardian for licensed product from concept through to the final manufactured product.
  • Daily management of product approvals and development in our Product Approvals system.
  • Provide support & solutions to licensees on their product development and regarding how to use our Product Approvals system.
  • Working in collaboration with Regional CP creative designers to reflect regional strategy in development.
  • Working with Global CP creative designers on priority licensees to ensure creative direction is executed.
  • Contributing knowledge, ideas and solutions to the Global Franchise Product Development team to improve the way we work.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience in consumer products
  • Creative design or product development background
  • Exceptional organizational skills and adept at multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese

Preferred:

  • Operations experience
  • Process Improvement
  • Experience in Brand Comply or other partner management systems
