What you’ll do  

Following a user centred design methodology, you will work alongside other designers and user researchers, as well as product and business stakeholders, to create UIs and user journeys that solve the problems of our users and drive business impact. In return we'll support you to develop your career as a UX professional, and you'll have the opportunity to shape how we operate. We have Product Designer roles in both our Growth & Efficiency Tribes, although you will work centrally as part of the UX team on a wide range of challenges. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Driving the user experience of our website, platform and internal systems. 
  • Identifying opportunities to innovate and drive conversion, self-serve and task efficiency. 
  • Evolving our design system and ensuring adherence to our design standards. 
  • Wireframing, prototyping and UI design using Figma and other tools. 
  • Analysing as is user journeys and envisioning future journeys. 
  • Helping to drive best practise copy alongside Brand team and subject matter experts. 
  • Working alongside our user researchers and data analysts to understand user need and iterate your work so it is free of usability issues. 
  • Working closely with POs and developers to ensure requirements are understood and UIs are delivered to specification. 

 

What you’ll need  

  • An attitude to champion the needs of the user and want to involve them in the design process where possible. 
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/UI or Design, ideally with an academic background or qualification in Design, Psychology, Human Factors or a related field. 
  • Experience designing complex workflows and UIs, web/mobile, and websites. 
  • Experience and proven results working on conversion optimisation (Growth) or self-serve & usability (Efficiency) projects. 
  • Experience working with design systems, ideally in Figma. 
  • Some usability testing and/or user research experience. 
  • Adapting to critique of your design work. 
  • Well-developed communication skills including influencing and effective communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Demonstrates willingness to learn about the financial sector, because you understand context is important to great design. 
  • Comfortable using Lean UX in an agile environment.
