Hybrid working in London, UK (At least one day in office per week)
We’re looking for a Product Designer to join our Credit Compass team.
Small businesses move fast. Opportunities often don’t wait, and cash flow pressures can appear overnight. To keep going, and growing, SMEs need finance that’s as flexible and responsive as they are.
That's why we built iwoca. Our smart technology, data science and five-star customer service ensures business owners can act with the speed, confidence and control they need, exactly when it's needed.
We’ve already cleared the way for 100,000 businesses with more than £4 billion in funding. Our passionate team is driven to help even more SMEs succeed, through access to better finance and other services that make running a business easier. Our ultimate mission is to support one million SMEs in their defining moments, creating lasting impact for the communities and economies they drive.
This is a hands-on design role with plenty of autonomy: you’ll take ideas from concept to launch, explore ways for businesses to engage with their data, and refine experiences based on real user feedback. We’re a small, ambitious team building something from the ground up - so if you like variety, collaboration and seeing your work make a real impact, you’ll fit right in.
ResponsibilitiesDesigning end-to-end app experiences that make complex financial information clear and actionable. You'll take ownership of how small businesses see, understand, and act on their data, helping them connect the dots between their credit health and the real-world decisions they make.
Owning features from discovery to launch. You'll map user journeys, test hypotheses, and design interfaces that balance user needs with technical feasibility. You'll work closely with product and engineering to deliver features from concept to release, ensuring it lands smoothly with users.
Turning research and data into better product decisions. You'll translate qualitative and quantitative insights into design improvements that have a measurable impact, for example, making navigation clearer or improving engagement with score updates and insights.
Defining and refining interaction patterns that lay the foundation for Credit Compass's evolution. You'll document and improve reusable UI elements and behaviours, ensuring new features feel consistent, accessible, and scalable as the product grows.
Building a product that businesses keep coming back to. You'll help make Credit Compass something users genuinely trust, designing experiences that provide clarity, transparency, and progress over time, encouraging them to check back, learn, and take action.
You probably have around 3–5 years’ experience in product design, but what matters most is your ability to think critically and collaborate effectively.
Curious and analytical - you like understanding how things work and why users behave the way they do.
A natural problem solver, able to simplify complexity into clear, engaging experiences.
Have experience in mobile app design, and are familiar with platform-specific patterns.
Comfortable working with some ambiguity - you enjoy figuring out “what” as much as “how”.
Skilled in interaction and visual design, with solid UX foundations.
Pragmatic and delivery-focused.
Had exposure to user research tests and analysis.
Experience designing data-driven interfaces and dashboards.
An interest or familiarity in micro-interactions.
Familiarity with behavioural design or methods that help drive user action and habit formation.
Experience contributing to or evolving a design system.
Understanding of information hierarchy and data visualisation principles.
