Your mission
Create a world-class, cohesive onboarding experience that reduces friction for users and increases engagement, conversion, and adoption for the business. In this role, you’ll be leading designers (of all crafts) working in the cross-functional teams that make up Wise’s Onboarding squad. Together you’ll help people and businesses onboard to Wise — ensuring they can move and manage their money anywhere in the world.

Here’s how you’ll contribute

• Partnering with PM and Engineering you’ll provide unified leadership, ensuring design work is aligned with both tribe and business objectives

• Leading the designers in the squad, you’ll set the vision, define strategy and coach teams to deliver it

• Overseeing the design process from concept to execution, you’ll ensure the creative vision is implemented consistently across key surfaces

• You’ll manage, mentor and motivate the squad’s designers — providing guidance, fostering creativity, pushing creative boundaries and strengthening our design culture

• You’ll level up design quality, maturity and alignment across the tribe and other squads

• Working with design leaders from other squads, you’ll help build a single, cohesive experience for every Wise customer

About you: 

• You’re an accomplished design leader with several years experience leading teams to ship world-class consumer products

• You have an eye for quality and cohesion, and know how to support designers to deliver both

• You’re influential and inspiring, able to lead others in a culture that values autonomy and empowerment

• You’re highly empathetic, to customers and the people you work with

• You’re a trusted partner, building effective relationships with your peers across the business
