Force Information Systems Limited (FIS), a Harris Computer company, is recruiting for a Product Consultant on a permanent, remote-working basis.

The Product Consultant provides application support to customers, with a focus on developing tools that enable clients to efficiently extract and interpret data from our products.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • The Product Consultant will collaborate closely with clients to understand their business needs and provide expert consultation on how the software applications can be configured and utilised to meet those requirements effectively.

  • The role involves designing and configuring software solutions, developing tools that enable clients to extract and interpret data from the system, and creating reporting solutions and dashboards that present information in a clear and meaningful way.

  • Develop and deliver product training to ensure customers are confident in using the system and can maximise its capabilities.

  • Responsibilities also include maintaining the ongoing administration and optimisation of software applications, including supporting updates, enhancements, and configuration changes.

  • The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and internal teams while collaborating across departments such as sales, support, and development.

  • Additional duties include responding to client feedback and queries, supporting customer health checks, providing client support, assisting with product testing, occasionally supporting sales and marketing activities such as product demonstrations, contributing to best practices and process improvement initiatives, and undertaking other duties as required to support the wider team.

Requirements

  • Education in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in software configuration, customisation, reporting, and user training.

  • Experience using analytical data reporting tools.

  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with sales, support, and development teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

  • A dynamic, well-spoken and patient individual who is dedicated to providing outstanding client service, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • A proactive self-starter who is versatile and flexible across a range of tasks.

  • Previous experience in the Police Professional Standards environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Please note

  • The successful applicant must pass the Police vetting process, which requires a minimum of 5 years continuous residency in the UK.

  • The successful applicant must be based in the UK.

  • Working hours are 9:00am – 5:30pm GMT

  • This is a fully remote position. Equipment including laptop and monitors will be provided.

  • Occasional travel to client sites and team meetups will be required approximately at least twice a year
