At Verisk, we power decisions that shape the global insurance market. As a trusted data, analytics and technology partner, we help clients solve complex challenges, improve performance, and deliver better outcomes at scale.

Within Verisk, Specialty Business Solutions (SBS), formerly Sequel, is a leading provider of software to the insurance and reinsurance industry. Our platforms support brokers, underwriters, and carriers across the London Market and beyond, enabling smarter underwriting, better risk management, and more efficient operations.

This is an opportunity to join a business that sits at the heart of the insurance ecosystem, working with some of the market’s most complex clients and influencing how technology is used to drive real business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will come from a Big 4 or Tier 1 consulting background (or a comparable environment), or from an InsurTech organisation, with experience delivering insurance and/or technology transformation programmes.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

  • We are looking for a senior consultant who can operate with autonomy, credibility, and commercial awareness in complex client environments.
  • This is not a delivery focused role. You will own strategic client relationships and act as a long term advisor, shaping how our solutions are used, optimized, and evolved. You will be expected to challenge clients, influence decision making, and lead conversations at a senior level.
  • As a Senior Product Consultant, you will bridge business and technology, bringing structure to ambiguity and helping clients translate strategy into scalable, practical solutions.

What makes this role stand out

  • High visibility role working with major insurance clients across the London and global markets
  • Ownership of complex, high value client engagements with real influence on outcomes
  • Opportunity to operate as a trusted advisor rather than a delivery resource
  • Exposure to large scale transformation, process optimization, and enterprise systems
  • Direct impact on product evolution through insight gathered from client engagements

What you will be doing

  • Own and lead strategic client engagements, acting as the senior point of contact and trusted advisor
  • Analyze complex client environments and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and performance
  • Lead workshops and stakeholder discussions, shaping requirements and influencing decision making
  • Translate business needs into structured solutions that align with both client goals and product strategy
  • Provide clear direction on solution design, usage, and optimization across SBS platforms
  • Challenge client thinking where needed, ensuring alignment with best practice and long term value
  • Collaborate with Product, Project, and Account teams on delivery planning, escalations, and prioritization
  • Drive continuous improvement by feeding structured insights back into product and solution strategy
  • Mentor consultants and analysts, supporting capability growth across the team
  • Contribute to pre sales and strategic client discussions where senior expertise is required
Qualifications

What we are looking for

  • Experience operating at a senior level within a Big 4 or Tier 1 consulting environment, or in a consulting-led role within leading insurance technology providers (e.g. Guidewire, Duck Creek, Endava or similar).
  • Strong understanding of insurance or insurance technology, ideally within the London Market
  • Proven ability to lead client engagements and influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with complex systems and driving business process improvement
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance client needs and long term solution value
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex problems
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, matrix environment
  • Confident facilitating workshops and leading both business and technical discussions
  • A proactive, consultative mindset with a focus on identifying opportunities and adding value
  • Basic SQL knowledge and strong Excel skills are beneficial

Why join Verisk and SBS

  • At Verisk, you will be part of a global organization with the scale, stability, and ambition to make a real impact.
  • Within SBS, you will join a specialist consulting environment where you are trusted to lead, influence, and shape outcomes for both clients and the product.
  • This role is suited to someone who wants to move beyond delivery into true advisory, taking ownership of client success and seeing the long-term impact of their work.
