This is the hands-on delivery seat for product compliance across the UK, EU and every market outside the Americas. Where the Head sets the standard, you're the person making sure products actually meet it: market access, safety, chemicals, labelling and testing done right, ESPR and Digital Product Passport delivered on time, and recalls handled fast and well when they happen.
What you’ll be doing:
Own market access, safety, chemicals, labelling and testing protocols for UK, EU and other non-Americas markets.
Lead delivery of the ESPR and Digital Product Passport programmes for your markets, working to the standard the Head of Product Compliance & Stewardship sets.
Own recall execution: coordinating the response, working with Legal and brand teams, and closing out regulator engagement.
Apply chemical compliance requirements (REACH, PFAS, POPs, Proposition 65, the Restricted Substances List) to real product and testing decisions, not just policy documents.
Feed readiness status and risk into the Head's reporting to the Product Regulatory Compliance Committee.
What you’ll bring:
Solid experience in product compliance, product safety or regulatory affairs, ideally in apparel, footwear or another consumer goods category.
Deep working knowledge of UK and EU product regulation: REACH, chemical restrictions, labelling and market-specific information requirements.
Direct experience with ESPR, the Digital Product Passport, or comparable emerging regulation, or a fast ability to get up to speed.
A genuinely hands-on approach: comfortable working a compliance issue through with a supplier or a brand team, not just reporting on it.
Calm, organised recall experience: knowing how to move fast without losing the paper trail.

Talent Team Intro Call - A 30-minute video call with our Talent Team to get to know each other, talk through the role and your experience, and answer any questions you have.
Experience Interview - A more in-depth interview (usually online) with the hiring manager to explore your skills, experience and approach, and how these align with the role, our principles, and our ways of working.
Final Interview - A final in-person interview at our office, focused on deeper discussion and practical application, giving you the chance to meet more of the team and see Pentland Brands in action.
