Job title: Producer, Lewis Goodall (10am-12pm Sundays on LBC)

At Global, we think big, work hard, and never stand still. We’re the proud home of the best media and entertainment, driven by our talented and passionate people. Our mission? To make everyone’s day brighter— our Globallers, our audiences, our partners, and our communities. Whether we’re in the studio, building world-class technology, or securing record Outdoor advertising partnerships, we make sure we’re doing it as a team.

Your new role

We are looking for an ambitious, diligent and highly-capable producer to drive our flagship Sunday poltics show with Lewis Goodall on Sunday, a fast-paced, analytical and agenda-setting programme.

You will be the editorial engine behind the programme - shaping the rundown, spotting the strongest angles, bringing fresh guest ideas to Lewis and ensuring the show delivers the clarity, depth and journalistic sharpness listeners expect.

This is a role for someone with strong political instincts, a deep understanding of public policy and Westminster, and the experience to run a live, multi-platform programme with confidence. You will report to the Deputy Managing Editor and work closely with Lewis and the wider LBC team.

You’ll need to balance breaking news with original journalism, sharp interviews and ideas that cut through and set the national conversation. A strong grounding in media law, compliance and the pressure of live broadcast is essential.

Key Responsibilities

·       Live Programme Production - Ensure the smooth running of the live Sunday show, respond rapidly to breaking news and juggle a fast-moving rundown.

·       Editorial Planning and Content Development - Work with Lewis to set the political agenda each week - identifying stories and setting the tone for the national conversation.

·       Guest Booking - Secure high-impact political guests - from Cabinet and Shadow Ministers to policy experts and case studies who illuminate key issues and provide insight.

·       Compliance and Quality Control - Ensure all content meets LBC’s high editorial standards and regulatory requirements.

·       Post-Show Content and Digital Engagement - Consider how the show content can be repurposed and further developed for LBC’s website, app and social media platforms.

What You’ll Love About This Role

1.     Think Big: LBC is right at the heart of Britain’s conversation. You will be shaping a live, fast-paced, interactive show which has real impact.

2.     Own It: You’ll be able to craft standout segments, secure compelling guests and develop sharp angles on the biggest stories, in collaboration with Lewis and the management team.

3.     Keep it Simple: Remember the audience are at the centre of everything we do and we’re here to deliver informed and exciting debate, where all voices can be heard.

4.     Better Together: You’ll be surrounded by some of the best in the business - both on and off screen - and be part of to Britain’s biggest commercial news talk brand.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you’ll have:

·       Built strong relationships with Lewis and the entire LBC team, ensuring seamless collaboration.

·       Set the weekly political agenda, balancing breaking news with original angles on the day’s stories.

·       Booked great guests who elevate the conversation and resonate with listeners.

·       Focused on not only the pre-show element, but also the post-element of the show, so that we are embracing new platforms and engaging new audiences.

What You’ll Need

·       Strong Editorial Judgement: Identify the stories, angles and questions that will spark debate, inform listeners and drive engagement.

·       Live Production Experience: We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years’ experience in the industry, who is confident in a radio gallery and who thrives under pressure.

·       Audience-First Mindset: You understand LBC’s audience and can shape content that cuts through.

·       First-Class Communication: Whether it’s briefing your presenter or pitching a story, you can communicate clearly and effectively.

·       Guest Booking Experience: You know how to secure high-impact guests and insightful contributors, always considering who will add value to the national conversation.

·       Digital Awareness: You see the potential in every moment of radio and you know which moments will work for our digital platforms.

·       Compliance Knowledge: You have a firm grasp of media law, Ofcom regulations and Global’s editorial guidelines and you’re comfortable applying them in real time.
