Procurement Manager
Home based with bi- monthly meetings in our London Head Office

We have a great opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team at Capita.
You’ll be a key member of the procurement sourcing team to support the day-to-day delivery of core procurement activities.
Successful candidates will have experience of multi-category ownership, or IT category management, be able to demonstrate complex large-scale negotiations with multiple businesses and stakeholders across our Capita Experience, Capita Public Services and Technology Services.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with the Category Head to deliver a long-term Category vision, with a clear strategy and operating plan, supporting the Category Team’s objectives to the Capita Group, business strategy and improving the measurable contribution of the Team to business performance
  • Accountability and responsibility for the development and delivery of the relevant subcategory Strategies
  • Implementing Supplier Relationship Management as an effective and efficient process ensuring compliance with all policies, minimum standards and governance/risk mechanisms.
  • Representing the company in the markets that they operate, building the external profile of Capita and of the company as a ‘customer’ of choice for key suppliers
  • Running Procurement projects through the Capita procurement process ensuring a high quality of delivery and adherence to plan realising strong commercial results.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Procurement Manager role, multiple category ownership preferred, or IT category ownership
  • Significant experience in managing complex sizable projects, across multiple divisions and demonstrating the outcome delivered to the business
  • Strong stakeholder influencing
  • Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of commercial and contract management trends in the respective supply markets to apply best practice to supplier management.
  • Delivering high volume, fast-cycle procurements for several different stakeholders.
  • MCIPS desirable not essential
