Global Procurement proactively manages the entire supplier ecosystem, making a vital contribution to improving health outcomes, reducing costs for patients and global healthcare systems, and ensuring that Roche continues doing now what patients need next.

The Opportunity:

This role is within the Indirect Procurement Delivery group, which manages core procurement activities from category management and sourcing to contracting and content strategy. The group includes communities like Research & Development, Commercial and Corporate Services, Digital & Technology, and Facilities, ensuring category expertise and flexibility in procurement delivery.

As a Procurement Manager in Commercial, you will apply analytical thinking and specialized knowledge to strategic sourcing and delivery. You will be a vital driver in managing the supplier ecosystem, demonstrating the ability to deconstruct complex cost models and challenge commercial structures to drive value beyond simple price savings. You will collaborate and influence business stakeholders, translating their needs into effective sourcing activities and improving the buying experience. Your work will ensure efficient service delivery and translate sourcing outcomes into automated buying channels and content to improve business adoption and overall efficiency.

As a Procurement Manager in Commercial, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general business requirements, including but not limited to:

  • You are ideally a Category and sourcing subject matter specialist in Marketing & Sales (Creative and Digital, Medical and Scientific Activities, Market Access and Sales) conducting market and internal analysis to help develop strategies and tactical plans for how Roche should source and negotiate for third party goods and services in order to satisfy stakeholder requirements.

  • You are a Procurement delivery practitioner delivering and executing sourcing strategies by leveraging spend, category know-how, robust sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier management methodologies and frameworks and project management skills.

  • You develop content and automation, translating sourcing outcomes and opportunities into content and automated buying channels that improve business adoption, satisfaction, and overall efficiency.

Who you are:

  • You hold a university degree, preferably in business or a related discipline.

  • Have previous procurement experience in strategic sourcing, category strategy building and strategic project execution with general contracting understanding and proficiency or relevant commodity experience.

  • Proficiency in procurement systems, processes, and general contracting.

  • You possess knowledge and experience in the Strategic Procurement. While specific expertise in the Marketing & Sales commodity area is a plus, we value transferable skills from other enabling functions or corporate services commodity areas.

  • You are a proactive, curious, and motivated professional who thrives on continuous learning, willing to experiment and test new ideas when appropriate.

  • You are open-minded and inclusive, generously sharing ideas and knowledge, while being receptive to ideas and feedback from others.

  • You have skills in project management and will leverage those to deliver on day-to-day activities while providing the expertise needed for productivity oriented solutions .

  • Fluent in English to a Business level.
