About OFCI Procurement

The Procurement team is responsible for securing the equipment Vantage’s data centers require to function. The team leads these efforts from conception through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, New Site Development, and Engineering along the way.  Procurement also works closely with vendor partners to come up with a vertically integrated design, and we manage these partners to deliver the projects on schedule and budget.  Vantage is unique in that our technical staff is given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process.  Our internal team can align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals.  This approach empowers each member of the team to drive high- impact decisions and even more impactful results.

Position Overview

In a Procurement Analyst, Vantage is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to be an integral part of a team that manages Owner Furnished Contractor Installed (OFCI) Equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation of improvement plan associated with procurement processes and vendor management tools and you will also be responsible for identifying, providing, and reporting metrics to measure internal departmental and vendors .  Additionally, you will be integrally involved with invoice reporting, developing and maintaining department budgets, financial inventory allocation, user support of financial and accounting systems, contract administration, status and tracking report development, and daily support of the regional Procurement Managers and senior leaders in the department.

In this position you will work closely with the OFCI Procurement team and internal stakeholders to improve cross-functional processes.  You will assess and understand the business requirements data to allow the Procurement team to develop and implement procurement strategies that deliver on time, within budget and to a high quality. 

Essential Job Functions

Continuous Process Improvement

  • Work with the Line Manager to develop and implement action plans to address areas of improvement on procurement processes and vendor management tools & systems;
  • Develop strong partnerships with stakeholders to address vendor performance improvement plans;

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Consolidate and manage financial information from multiple software systems.
  • Maintain and control Vendor Management Database and support the procurement team on onboarding new suppliers.
  • Properly evaluate and update inventory for OFCI (Owner-Furnished-Contractor-Installed) equipment.
  • Maintain inventory database and track internal transactions between legal entities.

KPI Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Standardize templates and develop KPI’s for project budgets and on-time delivery requirements associated with OFCI equipment;
  • Develop and measure KPIs to monitor and control vendor performance, and support an effective strategic supplier management model.

Collaborate with Cross Functional Teams

  • Work with delivery team, finance, procurement and legal to ensure the implementation of continuous improvement plan. 
  • Support Procurement Managers and Finance / Accounting with invoice approvals and troubleshooting issues.  
  • Ensure procurement data and reporting meets the needs of process with other department requirements. 

Job Requirements

Education: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, business administration or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of relevant supply chain experience with focus on continuous improvement and data management

Skills: 

  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Power BI)  
  • Experience with procurement-specific software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle. Yardi) 
  • Strong critical thinking skills, with a focus on data-driven solutions to address procurement challenges. 
  • Experience with capturing, harvesting and presenting supply chain data (performance, spend, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate complex analytical findings to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Strong inter-personal skills with stakeholder management
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel (Advanced) and ERP management
  • Excellent planning and organization skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Assertive and confident and able to quickly build a high level of personal and professional credibility within the business
