Job Summary:
The Procurement Agent (Level 3) is responsible for managing the procurement process and sub contract management for complex and high-value contracts. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier management, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and specifications.
  • Manage long term Major Sub Contracts, with complex scope of work and key stakeholder relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations,
  • Problem solve issues which could significantly impact business risk and success.
  • Ensuring leadership alignment in supplier strategy management of problem solving.
  • Analyze procurement data and market trends to inform decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior procurement staff.

Basic required qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Knowledge of contract law and procurement regulations.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Travelling :Successful candidate will need to travel to supplier site, in Farnborough, Hampshire. Expected to be an average of minimum of 1 day a week

Preferred qualifications/Nice to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a specific industry relevant to the organization (e.g., aerospace, manufacturing).
