The UK business, with on the ground operations in London, Guernsey, Manchester, Birmingham, and Leeds, focuses on discretionary investment management for wealthy families. We seek to be a long-term partner for our clients with a focus on wealth preservation and growth in real terms. We can also provide banking services for our clients, lending (Lombard loans and mortgages) and execution only accounts.

Fundamental to our business model is separation of client relationship and investment management responsibilities. We have a dedicated investment team who are responsible for all discretionary investment activities. Client Advisers, and their teams, are responsible for all elements of client relationships and also new business.

The UK business has enjoyed considerable growth and success in recent years. We have ambitious plans to serve more clients and expand the business over the coming years, whilst maintaining an atypically collaborative and collegiate culture. 

Overview of role:

Rothschild and Co Wealth Management UK are undertaking a multi-year process improvement journey and are expanding our Business Excellence team to drive process optimisation and digitalisation activities. This role will support the implementation of a robust process ownership and management framework to ensure organised and efficient processes are developed and maintained across the business. Alongside involvement in process management activities this role will also support process improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating process owners: Work with process owners to ensure processes are managed within the agreed framework and standards
  • Support cross functional working groups: Facilitate decision making on cross functional process improvements with process owners and key stakeholders
  • Support use of process management software: Support users with process & procedure management software (Confluence and Runthru) deployed in the business, ensuring adoption and good practice from users
  • Support process reviews and audit cycles: Conduct annual process review cycle with process owners
  • Support process improvement projects: Support projects aimed at improving process efficiency
  • Promote and support continuous improvement: Promote the benefits of continuous improvement and process management throughout the business and participate in process improvement activities where required
  • Document and analyse current processes: Work with business areas to understand gaps in their process documentation and support/ coordinate the creation of required documentation
  • Working with Low Code/ Automation team: Interface with low code team to define requirements for process digitalisation

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Proven experience working collaboratively within a team
  • Experience working in operational process improvement or process management (desired)
  • Passion for continuous improvement and influencing change
  • Experience in Financial Services preferred
  • Experience documenting processes (BPMN desired)
  • Experience with knowledge management tools such as Confluence
  • Knowledge of process and procedure management tools and techniques (process improvement methodologies, process performance measurement, process standards)
