About the Role:

We're looking for a Process Automation Engineer to play a key role in transforming our manufacturing operation through automation, digitalisation and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to help build the factory of the future, leading innovative projects that improve safety, quality, productivity and operational performance.

From automation and robotics through to Industry 4.0 and smart factory technologies, you'll take projects from concept through to implementation, delivering solutions that create lasting business value across our operation.

What You'll Be Doing

· Lead automation and capital projects from concept through to implementation and handover.

· Drive the automation of manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, consistency, quality and operational performance.

· Support the development of smart factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives across the site.

· Identify and deliver opportunities to reduce manual handling through automation, robotics and improved process design.

· Apply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles to optimise processes and performance.

· Lead projects to agreed scope, budget, quality and timescales.

· Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, IT and Supply Chain teams.

· Manage suppliers, contractors and system integrators to deliver successful project outcomes.

· Use operational and automation data to identify improvement opportunities and support business decision making.

· Contribute to the site's long-term manufacturing and automation strategy.

What We're Looking For

· Experience delivering automation, engineering or manufacturing projects within an industrial environment.

· Strong project management skills with experience leading projects from concept through implementation.

· Experience managing project budgets, suppliers, tenders and commercial discussions.

· Knowledge of automation, manufacturing technologies or production systems.

· Experience applying continuous improvement, lean manufacturing or operational excellence principles.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

· A proactive approach with a passion for innovation, automation and improving how things are done.
