We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Privacy Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support the company’s efforts to comply with privacy laws and regulations, manage data protection initiatives, and ensure adherence to internal privacy policies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Legal, IT, and Security to help safeguard personal and sensitive information.

Where You'll Be

To prioritize togetherness, culture, and accountability, RVO Health operates on a hybrid in-office work schedule. We expect employees to work from our Minneapolis office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. You are welcome to work remotely Mondays and Fridays if you wish.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of privacy compliance programs aligned with applicable laws such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations. 
  • Monitor and track privacy risks, incidents, and compliance metrics; support privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and data protection impact assessments (DPIAs). 
  • Support the development and delivery of privacy training and awareness programs for employees. 
  • Collaborate with Legal and Security teams to respond to data subject access requests (DSARs), data breaches, and other privacy-related inquiries. 
  • Maintain accurate documentation of privacy policies, procedures, and compliance activities. 
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Stay current with evolving privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and provide recommendations for updates to policies and processes. 
  • Assist with vendor risk assessments
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Information Technology, or a related field preferred. 
  • 2-4 years of experience in privacy compliance
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or similar frameworks. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Experience with privacy management tools or software is a plus. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) are a plus but not required.

Pursuant to various state Fair Pay Acts, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company. The following benefits are provided by RVO Health, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Starting Salary: $64,000 - $80,000
    *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications and experience
