Job Description:

 

SiFive is creating RISC-V based CPU IPs faster and cheaper than ever before by combining the best practices of rapid, iterative software design with the proven fidelity of hardware engineering. The Verification architect will ensure the fidelity of new highly configurable cores and other related IPs, for clients taking on exciting new use cases like autonomous driving, 5G networking, wearables, or IoT. The Verification architect will be responsible for adopting state-of-the-art verification methodologies to in-house designs in order to ensure that everything on SiFive’s integrated circuits work as intended.

They will need to (1) understand component parts of the system, (2) work with the architect team from early feature development stages to provide necessary feedback, (3) create verification strategies for given features/components, (4) participate in microarchitecture design phases with the design team, (5) brainstorm corner case scenarios with the Design and DV team to improve verification quality, (6) work with DV leads to ensure test plans capture design intents, and (7) ensure verification quality through coverage metrics and other means. Because of the uniqueness of SiFive’s chip design flow, the verification architect will have the opportunity to shape verification ground of state-of-the-art technologies while developing IP with more speed and agility than any other company.

Working on solving verification challenges of memory subsystem, from L1, private L2, to the last level caches, including but not limit to memory coherency with multi-core, as well as memory consistency due to weak memory ordering

BS/MS/PhD in EE, CE or CS

12+ years relevant experience with Core/CPU functional verification

8+ years direct experience on cache verification

Deep understand of computer architecture

Seasoned developer using object oriented programing principles
