As an E-characterization Engineer in DRAM device technology group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be working with an industry leading team on innovative technologies to enable future memory products.
You will be responsible for analyzing advanced electrical characterization results to contribute to improvements in cell device performance, high performance CMOS, advanced interconnect performance et al by using various advanced solutions.
To develop new methodology for device characterization field, engineer who has effective and flexible ides with a proactive approach are desired, hence we would look forward to your application!
Responsibilities and Tasks
  • In addition to a broad basis of Device knowledge, you need to have a deep understanding of Semiconductor Device Physics including Cell Tr, CMOS, diodes, resistance element, etc and provide a solid consequence of parametric analysis for our development. Additionally, understanding of circuits operations such as ring oscillator and multiplexer is also helpful to correlate between param, TEG performance and device, fundamental circuit performance.
  • Using the measurement tools in the line, you will contribute to device development by creating a test environment that matches the test structure for each generation of products, optimizing test conditions to acquire desired characteristics, and analyzing electrical test results.
  • In addition, by using the tools in the laboratory to acquire and analyze detailed data at the engineering level, you play the role of clarifying problems in device development and feed the useful data back.
  • You are also in charge of proposing test structures required for device characteristics and developing data automation tools.
  • You have an opportunity to analyze with big data of param and related data for reaching out root cause of issue and yield improvement by using data science approach.
  • As part of your position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the device integration engineering team, process development team, product engineering team, product design team, failure analysis team, and more.

Preferred Qualifications / Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Strong background in semiconductor device characterization based on CMOS architecture and circuit operation.
  • Good knowledge of semiconductor device physics
  • Basic Knowledge of electrical characteristic on DRAM
  • Knowledge of statistical data analysis.
  • Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal

Expectations (any one of):
  • Knowledge of programming languages (such as C++, python), software tools is a plus
  • Understanding of circuit operation and product architecture in semiconductor memory products.
  • Knowledge of or experience for high-frequency (RF) device characterization and RTN noise analysis, semiconductor analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and high-frequency measurement tools

Education:
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or equivalent experience
