As a Principal R, R shiny and Python programmer, you will provide technical and operational expertise across analytics platforms and infrastructure. The role focuses
on enhancing productivity, improving documentation quality, and delivering innovative solutions for internal stakeholders. Key areas include R and Python Shiny application development, Microsoft Power Apps solutions, code optimization, and structured documentation practices. The position will operate within a continuous improvement framework, ensuring scalability, usability, and compliance with enterprise standards while collaborating across teams.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain interactive Shiny applications for internal use,
ensuring scalability and performance.
• Develop and implement Microsoft Power Apps and PowerBI solutions to streamline
workflows and integrate with SDS systems.
• Refactor and optimize R and Python codebases for performance and maintainability in HPC environments.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical and GxP documentation for
SDS platforms, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
• Assist in designing and maintaining logical folder structures across shared
environments and support version control workflows.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5–6 years of experience in analytics, statistical programming, or software development within a regulated industry.
• Proficiency in R and Python programming languages.
• Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure (e.g., Amazon VPCx or similar).
• Hands-on experience with open-source analytics platforms and Microsoft Power
Apps.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Experience in pharma & life sciences industry is preferred.
