Job Description Summary:

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for assisting with product management and marketing for selected products. This includes participating in product roadmap discussions, features, and product positioning. The Associate Product Manager drafts targeted user stories, gathers requirements, clarifying and working closely with Product Managers, Engineering and Sales to deliver winning products. Along with their peers, they will ensure that the product and marketing efforts support the overall business strategy and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the identification of new opportunities based on knowledge of emerging technologies

  • Reviews and summaries industry analyst reports

  • Identifies and documents trends in data

  • Performs targeted competitive analysis

  • Participates in product roadmap discussions

  • Works cross functionally with engineering, marketing and sales. 

  • Support the roadmap: support decisions to adjust based on engineering tradeoffs and customer feedback, help support development of business cases to support proposed investment priorities

  • Assist in briefing internal sales force and business partners on product releases, lifecycle, and policies

Required Qualifications:

  • Up to 2 years of Product Management experience with enterprise software experience preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to create and build strong working relationships with peer stakeholders internally

  • Demonstrated project management and organization skills

  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally with all types of people—a team player with a client-centric attitude

  • Outstanding attention to detail and quality conscious

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

  • Committed to Rocket Software core values of empathy, trust, love and humanity

Travel Requirements:

< 10% travel required
