Job Description

Your customers are the developers of our partners. Companies like Morgan Stanley, N26 and Ramp use our APIs to build fantastic cross-border payments experiences for their users. It’s your job to make sure they can do this as easily and quickly as possible.

As the product manager for Developer Experience at Wise Platform, you will:

  • Drive Excellence: Advocate for the developer experience across all stages of the API lifecycle—work with teams from across Wise while they expose their products to the developers of our partners. Ensure that products are documented publicly and that our documentation is clear and easy to navigate.

  • Customer & Market Insights: Gather feedback directly from developers to understand their pain points, needs, and future requirements. Conduct research to inform product decisions, identify opportunities, and solve key problems.

  • Measure Success: Define key success metrics for our APIs and developer experience. Track, analyze, and report on API performance and usage to make data-driven decisions, iterating quickly to improve developer satisfaction.

Lead and Mentor: As an experienced member of the product team, you’ll help mentor product managers, share best practices, and contribute to a high-performing product culture. You’ll also be expected to have a visible leadership presence in cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management with a focus on developer products and APIs.

  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with modern API design practices and the technologies that power them. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should feel comfortable working with engineering teams and making technical trade-offs.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Deep empathy for developers and an understanding of their challenges. You should know what it takes to create frictionless developer experiences and be able to advocate for their needs at all levels.

  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Ability to set measurable goals, interpret data, and use insights to prioritize initiatives and refine the product strategy. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, both to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with API documentation & onboarding: Knowledge of how to create and improve documentation, tutorials, and other self-service resources that enhance the developer experience.
