The Product Design team at AutoScout24 ensures that we create the right products to deliver delight to customers by working closely with cross-functional partners to establish best practices and  processes, develop an end-to-end product rollout plan, align cross-functional stakeholders on strategy,  track and communicate business metrics, and help scale product knowledge throughout the organisation. 

We are currently looking for a Principal Product Designer to join our B2B team. You will work in a dynamic collaborative team in our Munich or Berlin offices. Our work format is hybrid, and we meet in the office twice a week. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content designers
  • Have an end-to-end responsibility for a specific product design experience
  • Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of AutoScout24 products
  • Translate analysis and research insights into new ideas and concepts with the help of our analysis and research teams
  • Facilitate strategic conversations and meetings to drive progress against goals
  • Represent design in a variety of forums with product, engineering
  • Constantly push your limits and look for opportunities to improve
  • Be an active part and contribute to our design community. 

What You Bring 

  • +7 years of in-house experience as a Product Designer in a software development environment for e-commerce/marketplaces or similar to that
  • Strong UX design skills showcased in your portfolio
  • Experience in mentoring less seasoned designers as well as strong communication & facilitation skills, written and verbal
  • Critical eye for high-craft design and desire to challenge the status quo and aim for UI excellence
  • Experience using data to identify problems and communicate solutions
  • Experience working directly with Visual and Product Designers, UX Researchers, and Writers
  • Experience developing product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact to people and the company
