Job Description

General Summary:

The Core Technology Principal Network Engineer performs complex technical activities related to the design and administration of the company's network infrastructure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deploys and maintains large-scale enterprise level network services; leverages strong experience to troubleshoot and address more technically complex problems
  • Leads complex projects including requirements gatherings, scope management, implementation and rollout
  • Installs, monitors, troubleshoots and maintains various network tools and systems
  • Contributes to the selection/application of technical standards or methods for the communication systems of the company
  • Supports worldwide network expansion through travel around the world
  • Identifies areas for process improvement and develops proposed solutions
  • Participates and collaborates cross functionally with business and technology groups
  • Engages and maintains relationships with vendors

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience with AWS networking technologies
  • Demonstrated experience with Cisco routing and switching and Meraki wireless infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience with DNS and IP address management
  • Good familiarity of emerging technologies in network infrastructure
  • Familiar with network cabling standards, fiber and copper planning, network room power and rack layouts, and designing connectivity into new offices
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills through the use of network specific tools
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and activities as both a lead and team member
  • Able to reliably estimate level of effort/resources needed for assignments and work within those parameters
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
  • Typically requires 8 years experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Flex Designation:

Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site Eligible

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
