We are looking for a Principal Mobile Engineer who loves tackling extremely complicated technical tasks in a fast manner and resolving important tech debt. You will be a leading figure within our Mobile Chapter, having a strong opinion on setting standards, good practises and coding conventions, that can help the rest of the mobile team grow!
This role is open to both permanent employees and contractors, depending on where you are based, +/- 3 hours around the GMT timezone. We are flexible and happy to discuss the best arrangement based on your experience and preferences.

What you’ll be doing:
- Own most of the most critical and complicated challenges of our app.
- Effectively communicate the technical side of things to stakeholders.
- Participate in planning and refinement meetings, giving high level insights.
- Guide and help the other members of the Mobile Chapter.
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing Mobile Apps.
- Strong expertise in React Native and TypeScript.
- Proven record in performance optimization of apps.
- Strong experience in solving complicated technical problems in a clean and scalable way.
- Experience of working closely with Product Managers and Designers, to maximize the delivery efficiency and preventing communication silos.
- A track record of working in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.
- Experience in Social Media related apps (eg Video Rendering).
- Demonstrated ability to architect and optimize high‑performance mobile solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
- Strong leadership abilities with experience mentoring engineering teams and leading technical initiatives.
- Effective communicator, able to provide accurate updates and estimations on stakeholders.
- Ability to lead projects end to end, from conception to completion.
- Familiarity with and interest in the world of Web3.
