Major Responsibilities

• Summary: Integral role in designing and developing robust data pipelines and models to drive AI features within existing products and facilitate the creation of new products.

• Data Processing and Model Innovation: Work with diverse data sources to extract features, develop ETL pipelines, utilise reinforcement learning, and either create new models or fine-tune existing ones.

• Traditional Software Engineering: Demonstrate proficiency in traditional application engineering and a knack for defining and solving both closed and open-ended problems.

• Collaboration and Leadership: Work across teams to define AI goals, lead AI initiatives, and mentor junior engineers.

• Performance Optimisation: Implement strategies for model optimisation, ensuring scalability and efficiency.

• AI Ethics and Governance: Uphold AI ethics, ensure data privacy, and comply with relevant regulations.

Requirements

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Professional Experience:

  • 5-10 years in product engineering, with a significant focus on AI/ML projects.

  • Advanced degree holders with at least 1 year of specialised experience are preferred.

  • Strongly favourable for experience in building recommendation engines, conducting feature engineering, developing neural networks, and designing ETL pipelines.

• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in several or similar technologies, such as

  • Deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)

  • ML algorithms like KNN, SVM, Decision Trees, DBSCAN, Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, etc.

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).

  • Experience with Generative AI and Trends in the Industry is a plus.

  • Proficiency in Python/R or Equivalent Tech Stack

  • Libraries (scikit-Learn, Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, D3.js)

• Data Skills: Expertise in data integration, ETL processes, and working with SQL/NoSQL databases. Familiarity with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions.

• Software Development Skills: Solid foundation in software development principles, coding standards, and documentation.

• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex data sets, derive insights, and solve sophisticated problems with innovative solutions.

• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and experience in agile development environments.
