The Job Mission
This Principal Consultant role is pivotal to Assystem's Project Management & Controls delivery capability.
You will lead teams to deliver complex project management solutions, and will grow client accounts while shaping commercial consulting services.
Lead development of integrated schedules, cost controls, and reporting systems
Manage delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary projects across energy and infrastructure
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring long-term partnerships
Take ownership of key accounts, driving client satisfaction and account growth
Mentor and develop consultant teams, building capability across project controls disciplines
Identify new opportunities for commercial and project management consulting services
Support leadership with business development, bids, and market expansion strategies
Represent Assystem at industry events and client forums
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
Proven experience in project delivery and controls, ideally focussed on planning
Strong leadership in managing and mentoring teams
Expertise in project and programme management systems
Proven ability to build client relationships and accounts
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Desired Skills
Degree in engineering, project management, or related field (or equivalent qualification)
Experience within nuclear or major energy infrastructure
Track record in business development and account growth
Broad IT capability for project control solutions
Experience leading large teams of consultants
