Shape and lead transformative AWS initiatives across financial services.

Role Overview
You will take a leading role in shaping and delivering transformative Amazon Web Services (AWS) programmes for our clients. You will bring your expertise to bear by supporting clients in designing new and innovative cloud-native platforms and capabilities, adopting cloud computing, and modernising legacy estates. As a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you will define cloud architecture strategies and visions while delivering AWS-based solutions that create real business impact.
Your role will bridge the gap between senior stakeholders and engineering teams, translating architectural vision into practical delivery. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams working at pace, while also contributing to commercial activity and promoting delivery excellence across our Technology and Engineering Practice through mentoring junior talent, thought leadership, and engagement in the wider cloud community.
Required Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have proven experience in:
- Shaping enterprise-scale solution and enterprise architecture solution in AWS, supported by relevant AWS certifications.
- Advising senior leadership on cloud strategy, adoption, migration, and modernisation initiatives in partnership with AWS - influencing key technology and investment decisions for our clients.
- Domain expertise in at least one key Financial Services domain e.g. Capital Markets, Retail Banking, Payments, Wealth, Asset Management or Insurance.
- Leading pre-sales engagements, formal bid responses including proposing solutions and undertaking commercial estimations.
- Designing integrations between AWS environments, other cloud providers, legacy on-premises systems, and third-party services using API-led design, gateways, and BFF patterns.
- Designing distributed, zero-trust architectures using AWS services such as EKS, Lambda, and EventBridge or SNS/SQS to support microservices and event-driven systems.
- Leading cross-functional technical teams in agile deliveries with modern engineering practices (e.g., SAFe and DevOps).
- Applying recognised architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman, Domain-Driven Design, or NIST).
While not mandatory, experience in the following areas is beneficial:
- Senior or managerial-level consulting experience.
- Holding professional AWS certifications such as Certified Solutions Architect and relevant architecture qualifications (e.g., TOGAF).
- Designing enterprise-scale data and AI platforms using AWS-native services such as Redshift, SageMaker, Bedrock, and generative AI capabilities.
- Designing secure, multi-account landing zones using AWS Organizations, IAM, networking architectures, and security guardrails.
- Designing and launching greenfield cloud-native ventures or innovative digital platforms.
