About this role:

Partner directly with sales and other internal partners (i.e. Deal Hub, Legal) to provide support and guidance on foundational Gartner pricing policies, while developing solutions and pricing strategies to optimize sales productivity and NCVI.

What you’ll do:

  • Subject Matter Expert to sales/ commercial team(s) providing guidance and approvals as needed for non-standard commercial terms and pricing. Expect high volumes with tight deadlines.

  • Partner with Sales, Deal Hub, and other key stakeholders to establish and provide guidance and advise on client-specific pricing solutions that meet client needs and align to our product/sales strategy and revenue requirements.

  • Act as a problem-solver and think creatively to present potential pricing solutions with a goal of meeting both the needs of our clients as well as internal policies and requirements.

  • Effectively coach Sale partners at all levels on Gartner policy, deal strategy, and solutioning that results in a positive outcome for the client, Sales, AND Gartner.

  • Create and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders articulating product and pricing strategy and demonstrating expertise on Gartner best practices (i.e. Renewal Strategy, Pursuing Multi-Year contracts, Local Pricing, etc.)

  • Respond in a timely manner to requests for information and questions relating to commercial products and/or pricing.

  • Collaborate with Legal and internal SME teams as needed to resolve issues as needed to secure business.

  • Exhibit a strong personal brand that is perceived by internal sales teams to be a true strategic and impactful business partner.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 2-5 years’ experience in finance, pricing, contracts, proposals, sales, or related operational function

  • Strong analytical skills for problem solving, risk assessment, and broad strategy view including the ability to apply sound judgment.

  • Ability to prioritize appropriately, organize work effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Successful track record of delivering superior client service.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.

  • Ability to work well with others under high-stress situations, effectively interface with internal functional and project teams and meet both internal and external customer goals/objectives.
