Job Description:

Pricing Analyst

Hybrid working with up to 4 days per week working from home

London, Staines or Manchester

Permanent

Salary £44K - £54K dependent upon experience

As our Pricing Analyst you’ll play a key role in supporting both Bupa's UK Insurance and Bupa Global business units. You will be part of the pricing projects team, responsible for providing pricing support to a wide variety of projects across the business.

This includes our flagship pricing project - that seeks to deliver a pricing revolution by developing cutting-edge predictive models and implementing a new Rating Engine to support our pricing ambitions.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

The pricing team is responsible for developing and delivering
the pricing strategy in support of Bupa's strategic goals. This is a project role with lots of variety. Tasks that you will be required to carry out include:

  • Working closely with colleagues in other teams such as Sales, Finance, Product & Proposition, IT, Clinical Policy and Healthcare Analytics on a range of projects and initiatives.

  • Extracting, refining, and enriching data

  • Developing predictive models

  • Researching new modelling techniques

  • Advanced analytics of customer behaviour, customer risk and model performance

  • Modelling and assessing the impact of new pricing strategies

  • Competitor pricing analysis

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

The role holder is expected to have the following experience and qualification/s:

  • Previous pricing experience in Health or GI markets

  • Radar experience is ideal. SAS, Python and Emblem knowledge would be welcome

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills demonstrated through previous experience.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present technical information and ensure it is understood by various stakeholders

  • Adaptability to handle a wide variety of different projects and prioritise and manage multiple tasks

  • A good understanding of Machine Learning techniques in the insurance market would also be beneficial
