AMC Networks International – UK (AMCNI – UK) distributes television programming throughout the United Kingdom with a portfolio of channels that includes TRUE CRIME, TRUE CRIME XTRA, LEGEND and LEGEND XTRA. The portfolio reaches viewers via Sky, Virgin Media, Freesat and Freeview platforms and on demand via the WATCH FREE UK player available from Freesat, Freeview and YouView. A significant part of AMCNI UK’s content library is also available via partnerships with major streaming platforms such as ITVX,5, FreeVee, Pluto TV, Rakuten TV and Samsung TV. AMCNI – UK is a business unit of AMC Networks International, a leading producer and distributor of television channels reaching subscribers in more than 130 countries and territories and spanning a range of genres, including movie, lifestyle, entertainment and factual. The Role:

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months.

Preparation of all micro (presentation) schedules ready for transmission for AMCNI UK feeds as directed

Our offering:

This role is based in the UK and working from our offices in Goodge Street (2 days per week) and remotely from home for 3 days. We offer a supportive work environment, private medical & dental insurance, 25 days holiday and a generous pension scheme.

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Check monthly macro-schedules, including titles, episodes and templates and break patterns to meet strict deadlines.
  • Export break patterns to commercial sales house in line with deadlines.
  • Create micro-schedules with on air presentation elements i.e. promotions/ idents/sponsorship /auto menus/end credit pull backs / continuity etc.
  • Provide a 24-hour service for any problems which occur in transmission that might jeopardise the channel transmission.
  • Entering monthly promotional material ready for transmission.

Key Competencies Required:

  • Motivated and reliable, demonstrating good time management skills to meet tight deadlines.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to deal with day-to-day problems quickly and efficiently and work well under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast industry.
  • Able to learn new systems quickly and work both independently and as part of a wider team.
