Preload Team Leader - UPS

Heerenveen

As a Preload Team Leader at UPS, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll play a key role in motivating your team, optimizing processes, and making sure every package finds its way to the right destination. This role requires you to work from Tuesday to Saturday, with working hours from 04:00 to 13:00. We are looking for someone with discipline, skills, and a winning mentality to lead our team through the critical sorting process. Is that you?

What You'll Do

You’ll juggle multiple tasks, with the highlight being the sorting process from 05:00 to 08:00. During this time, you’ll ensure that quality, safety, and productivity are maintained, allowing the process to run smoothly. You’ll constantly be on the lookout for opportunities to improve the sorting operation and make it more efficient. Leading a team of about 20 hardworking people, you’ll make sure that everyone applies safe working methods correctly and that the team consistently delivers great results. You’ll evaluate your team members on their productivity and development, providing feedback and guidance to help them grow. In case of absenteeism, you’ll ensure proper support and guidance, keeping the team strong and motivated.

What You'll Need

  • Experience in logistics is a must.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • People management skills to build, support, and motivate your team.
  • Ability to save time by improving productivity.
  • Knowledge of MS Office is a plus.
  • Ability to enforce rules and procedures within the team.
  • English proficiency is required.

What You'll Get

  • Salary starting form € 3050, -
  • Overtime: Paid with 130% surcharge
  • Saturday hours: Paid with a 150% surcharge
  • Secondary employment benefits: 27.5 vacation days (full-time), 8% holiday pay, travel reimbursement, company pension plan, discounts on supplementary health insurance, bicycle scheme, and gym membership discounts
  • Option to sell or buy up to 4 vacation days
