Job Description

This is a hybrid role consisting of two areas of responsibility. Percentage time split between them is an estimated average and may vary during different periods based on need.

1) Primary (60-80%): consulting directly for Data Intellect's customers in the capital markets space, as an SME resource, as well as to deliver and oversee work on their behalf;

2) Secondary (20-40%): a senior SME in pre-sales and sales activity for Data Intellect to help it to win business and promote its services within the industry.

Key Responsibilities may include:

· Provide guidance to trading firms on how to engineer their pre-trade (RFQ, quote, order) data and market data in order to feed into surveillance and supervisory controls

· Explain how different 1LOD / surveillance controls work at the data level.

· Oversee data engineering work to achieve the desired outcomes for enhancement of or delivery of new controls

· Undertake analysis to understand customers' data landscape and feed that into surveillance model designs

· Create and maintain data mapping documentation.

· Liaise with surveillance analysts to lead the troubleshooting and triaging of issues to drive root cause identification and resolution.

· Document, track, and escalate risks and issues to the Project Lead or Head of Practice as appropriate.

· Provide thought leadership on data governance issues impacting supervisory and surveillance controls

· Work with Data Intellect sales team to prepare marketing and sales materials, identify opportunities, and draw-up proposals.


Qualifications

Key Qualifications

· Experience in handling order data, quote data and market data across at least one asset class

· Familiarity with front office order management systems and workflows

· Expertise in different algorithmic execution engines and their data output

· Experience of documenting user requirements and / or business proposals, designing solutions to business needs

· Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and project best practices

· Experience of working in the consulting / professional services or software vendor sector, or equivalent skills & experience

· Knowledge of Rates, Credit, or Commodities trading environment and risk management is highly advantageous
