Job Description

About the Role

Join Wavenet’s Focused Division and be part of a vibrant, expert team supporting customers within Wavenet Connected — our specialist division serving the Commercial Real Estate sector.

Following significant growth over the past decade, we’re looking for a Connected Pre-Sales Lead / Solutions Director to help shape customer solutions and drive our continued success. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys blending technical expertise with customer engagement and strategic thinking

The Opportunity

As the technical and solutions authority within the sales lifecycle, you’ll work closely with Sales, Delivery and Operations teams to design, propose, and transition best-in-class managed connectivity and network solutions.

You’ll bridge the gap between commercial and technical teams, ensuring customer requirements are fully understood, translated into robust solutions, and seamlessly handed over to delivery and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-sales technical engagement for connectivity and network solutions, partnering with Sales to understand customer goals and business needs
  • Design end-to-end managed solutions across WAN, LAN, Internet, Security, and WiFi
  • Provide expert solution guidance during customer meetings, presentations, and bid responses
  • Act as a technical escalation point for complex solution design queries
  • Collaborate with the Delivery and Operations teams to ensure solutions are scalable, deliverable and supportable
  • Produce clear, high-quality technical documentation, including solution designs, scopes of work, and handover packs
  • Share technical insight and best practices internally to drive continuous improvement across connectivity services

Experience across WAN, LAN, Internet, SD-WAN, Security, and WiFi is highly advantageous.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong understanding of WAN, LAN, and network security concepts
  • Experience in a pre-sales, solutions architecture, or senior technical role
  • Exposure to operational, 2nd or 3rd line support environments
  • Experience with security hardware (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS)
  • Proven ability to design performance-focused and optimised network solutions

Skills & Capabilities

  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts in a customer-focused and accessible way
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills
  • Commercial awareness, balancing customer needs with operational delivery
  • Highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously

Ways of Working

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning
  • Calm, confident, and effective in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Practical, solution-focused, and adaptable in approach

Additional Information

Here’s a closer look at what we offer:

  • Annual Leave: Start your journey with 25 days of leave, increasing by one day each year up to 28 days—our way of expressing appreciation for your dedication.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Your wellbeing is our priority. Benefit from private medical coverage, discounted health plans, virtual GP access, an eye care scheme, and a comprehensive employee assistance program, all facilitated by our Wellbeing Team.
  • Wavenet Academy: We are excited to announce the launch of Wavenet Academy, our new user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS). This platform is designed to enhance learning, training, and personal development initiatives across our organisation.
