You’ll work directly with the CEO and COO, own key channels, and turn ideas into real output at speed ⚡

What you’ll be doing

  • Build an AI agent (and then a team of agents) to support PR, content and execution 🤖
  • Turn strategy into consistent media, content and distribution
  • Create press releases, commentary and thought leadership using AI ✍️
  • Support CEO and senior leaders with personal brand and media presence
  • Turn merchant stories into real business outcomes (revenue, cost, efficiency) 📈
  • Manage partner relationships and support joint campaigns
  • Own PR and branding Slack channels 💬
  • Manage PR calendar, coverage tracking and performance
  • Support crisis communications and key announcements

This role is about execution and output — moving quickly and getting things done.


Public Relations & Brand Management

  • Own and execute Epos Now’s public relations strategy.
  • Define and maintain the company’s tone of voice and ensure all communications reflect our brand values.
  • Create and manage a press release calendar for significant business events (e.g., product launches, customer case studies, appointments, CSR initiatives, investment or IPO announcements).
  • Engage stakeholders and lead copywriting and design efforts as required.

Media Outreach & Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, trade publications, and media outlets globally to increase brand awareness.
  • Proactively identify speaking engagements, panels, and media appearances for key spokespeople (CEO, COO, CPO).
  • Ensure all press releases and content have follow-backlinks and are SEO compliant.

Newsjacking & Thought Leadership

  • Monitor breaking news relevant to our customers and sector, creating timely responses and thought leadership content.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on public statements.

Case Studies & Awards

  • Deliver at least one customer case study per quarter with video and photography, ensuring high-traffic pages are leveraged.
  • Maintain an annual awards calendar; submit entries and manage award participation to maximise exposure.
  • Amplify award wins across internal and external channels.

Hero of the High Street Report

  • Create quarterly data analysis reports highlighting key market trends for retail and hospitality sectors.
  • Ensure reports are published on a dedicated landing page and used as PR content across channels.

Event Management & Influencers

  • Develop a repeatable trade show calendar, managing logistics, ROI reporting, and lead capture.
  • Host webinars, panels, or customer events with strategic partners to enhance visibility.
  • Explore influencer opportunities to promote Epos Now products and services.

General PR Duties

  • Serve as first point of contact for inbound media enquiries and crisis management.
  • Deliver monthly PR reports including engagement, media coverage, backlinks, and lead generation.
  • Ensure internal teams are informed and engaged with published content.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in PR, communications, or copywriting, ideally in tech, retail, hospitality, or SME sectors.
  • Strong media relations and journalist engagement experience.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to brand tone and voice.
  • Experience in event management, awards submissions, and influencer collaboration.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices, content amplification, and digital PR.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
