Job Description

Job Title: PR Executive
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Job Location: Shepherds Bush

Based within our Brand/Marketing function and reporting directly to the PR Manager, this role is a central component of Gousto's communications engine. You will join a fast-moving, in-house environment with a lean team, working cross-functionally to support our fast-growing brand footprint.

This highly executional role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with external agencies and internal teams alike to deliver impactful campaigns.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day press office operations, triaging inbound media requests and responding in a timely, on-brand way
  • Write press releases, media statements, and supporting materials for new product launches, product news, and always-on press office moments
  • Pitch proactive stories and news moments to consumer, food, lifestyle and relevant trade media, building genuine journalist relationships in the process
  • Maintain and grow Gousto's media lists, keeping journalist contacts, outlet details, and coverage records up to date
  • Coordinate media samples and journalist boxes, liaising with food and product teams to organise send-outs for product launches, reviews, and seasonal moments
  • Draft holding lines and reactive statements for routine media enquiries, with sign-off from the PR Manager
  • Manage digital PR link-building activity day-to-day, working alongside the SEO team and agency to identify, pitch, and track link opportunities
  • Act as day-to-day contact for delegated agency workstreams, chasing deliverables and keeping projects on track
  • Build and maintain PR coverage trackers and contribute to monthly reporting for senior stakeholders

Who You Are:

  • PR experience, either agency or in-house, with a track record in consumer or brand PR
  • Confident and compelling press release writer, able to work from a brief with minimal hand-holding and produce clean, publishable copy
  • Established or buildable media contacts across consumer, food, and lifestyle press
  • Strong pitching skills, remaining comfortable picking up the phone or crafting a targeted email pitch that generates coverage
  • Working knowledge of digital PR and SEO best practices, including link building and content mapping
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple live workstreams, inbound requests, and trackers simultaneously
  • Confident, proactive communicator who can represent the Gousto brand professionally in routine media interactions
  • Comfortable working at pace in a fast-moving, in-house environment with a lean team and shifting priorities
  • Experience of or appetite for FMCG, food, or consumer brand PR, with energy for a business operating at the intersection of food, tech, and sustainability
  • Collaborative team player who can take direction clearly but also uses initiative when needed
