PowerBI Business/Data Analyst - Contract

This is a 6 month contract to work with the project team and has been assessed as outside IR35.

We are looking for someone with experience with business/data analysis to work directly with stakeholders across the UK (on-site) to understand processes and requirements to create the business logics to feed into PowerBI reports.

You will make contributions that matter by:

• Collaborating with business users to interpret requirements into data models and analytical solutions.
• Facilitating workshops and documenting outcomes, including requirements, functional specifications, design, and data models.
• Contributing to BI strategy and architecture, ensuring scalable and strategic designs.
• Developing and optimising components of the solution to ensure high performance with large data volumes from multiple sources.
• Administering and governing multiple data sources into Microsoft Fabric to streamline data management and analytics.
• Utilising Microsoft Analytics tools for seamless integration and efficient user interface development.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing SQL queries for data accuracy and performance.

You are best suited for the role if you:

• Have demonstratable experience with Dynamics F&O (prerequisite).
• Have strong data and business analysis experience, working with business users to define the outcome and ability to retrofit source data from applications.
• Possess strong SQL and Power BI skills.
• Have strong business acumen and experience with Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Are proficient in data ingestion, integration, transformation, storage, and management.
• Have experience with data lake/data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Have an understanding of Medallion architecture (nice-to-have).
• Can manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
