IMC is launching a new power and gas trading business in Århus, Denmark, the hub for power and gas trading in Europe. We are dedicated to creating a strong, independent, Århus-based team with local leadership while drawing on IMC's more than 30 years of global trading expertise.
We are looking for experienced professionals in power and gas trading and technology to join the team.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor one or more European power markets (intraday/day-ahead in CWE, Eastern Europe, UK, Nordics etc.) and the relevant supply and demand factors.
- Execute trades based on quantitative signals and/or discretionary insights
- Take significant responsibility and ownership early to drive strategies forward and ensure success.
- Train new joiners on the desk.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Strong academic background, preferably in a quantitative field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in trading intraday power in Europe, preferably at a proprietary trading desk.
- Proven track record of P&L ownership.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a healthy risk appetite, competitive nature, and fast decision-making capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
