About the role:

In an ever more data-driven world, KBR is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Power BI Finance Analyst to join our finance team. This mid-level role will play a key part in the development and delivery of insightful, data-led financial reports and dashboards to support key business decision-making. We want to empower users to exploit the reporting and data we provide to better understand business performance and to highlight opportunities for growth or risks to mitigate. You will work closely with finance and operational teams to translate data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain financial reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Take ownership of and evolve a suite of reports designed to give a wide range of stakeholders access to data and insights.
  • Support regular financial reporting cycles, including month-end, annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver insightful analysis. Provide training and support on reports developed to the business teams to ensure user adoption.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial data, including data checking and error analysis. Being the point of contact for answering data related queries and clarifications.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data processes.

Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • Experience of building PowerBI reports and dashboards from scratch, including functionality such as drill-through, tooltips and bookmarks.
  • DAX and Excel / Power Query proficiency.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of financial data and reporting principles.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.

Skills & Experience (Desirable):

  • Conceptual understanding of end to end processes within financial modules of ERPs, from data input to reporting.
  • Familiarity with general data management concepts is beneficial.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics and Workiva
