Power Apps Developer - Entry Level

The Role

Are you a recent graduate, or someone who has built Power Apps through university projects, internships, or personal learning?

This is a fantastic entry‑level opportunity to start your career as a Junior Power Apps Developer within KBR’s Defence & Nuclear Technology Solutions (UK) division.

You’ll join our Information Systems team and help design, build, and support Power Apps and Power Automate solutions that streamline processes and improve how our business works. If you enjoy problem-solving and want to grow your skills in the Microsoft Power Platform, this role is a great fit.

Location

Leatherhead – 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of the projects, applicants must be British National and have a minimum of three years’ UK residency in order to meet security clearance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven)

  • Create and manage data tables in Microsoft Dataverse

  • Develop automated workflows using Power Automate

  • Build dataflows to integrate data from multiple sources

  • Support solution integrations across the organisation

  • Ensure apps meet security, performance, and usability standards

  • Provide documentation and basic technical support

  • Stay up to date with new Power Platform features

What we Need

  • Degree in Computing, Engineering, or related field — desirable, not essential

  • Some exposure to Power Apps / Power Platform (through uni, self‑learning, projects, internships, bootcamps, or previous roles)

  • Understanding of Power Apps and Power Automate fundamentals

  • Basic knowledge of databases and data modelling

  • A problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Desirable

  • Experience with SharePoint, Dynamics 365, or Azure

  • Exposure to Agile or software development lifecycle

  • Basic programming (JavaScript, C#, R, Python)

  • PL‑900 Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
