About the position

As a POV Solutions Engineer, you will play a vital technical role in the Proof of Value (POV) team, responsible for creating and configuring customer tenants across the entire Mimecast product suite. Your work will enable customers to experience the full value of Mimecast’s solutions, supporting Sales Executives and Sales Engineering throughout the pre-sales cycle. Upon successful POV completion, you will ensure a seamless handover to Professional Services for full implementation.

What you'll do:

• Configure and deploy Mimecast solutions including email security, collaboration platform security (Teams, Slack), human risk management, and threat intelligence for customer POV environments.

• Gather and document customer requirements to ensure successful onboarding and demonstrate value.

• Communicate technical solutions and value propositions to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Integrate Mimecast solutions with directory services, SSO, SCIM, MDM, and deployment management tools.

• Collaborate with security professionals to customize and optimize deployments for risk mitigation.

• Escalate and track issues with Support and Product teams; contribute feedback for product improvements.

• Work cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Support, Product Management, Engineering, and Professional Services.

• Mentor and assist with onboarding new team members.

What you'll bring:

• Demonstrable professional consulting IT experience in enterprise software implementation/configuration.

• Proficiency in system/IT administration supporting Microsoft Exchange/Online/Azure Communication Services, Google Workspace, or other email systems.

• Advanced knowledge of implementing technical capabilities, including but not limited to SMTP Gateway configuration, Directory Synchronization (LDAP(S), Azure, Google Cloud Directory Sync), and SCIM.

• Experience with collaboration platform security (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom).

• Familiarity with human risk management and security awareness tools.

• Proficiency in API integration and automation (REST, webhooks, etc.).Direct experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, MobileIron, Jamf), including device enrolment, policy configuration, and remote management.

• Fluent in the management of Windows, Mac, and Linux/UNIX-based operating systems.

• Familiarity with email archive solutions (Enterprise Vault, Microsoft, Google, etc.).

• Experience with desktop management and mass deployment tools.

• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

The base salary range for this position is £44,000−£66,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
