About the role
As a Portfolio Operations Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting the effective servicing and ongoing monitoring of the loan portfolio. You will assist with a wide range of activities, including covenant testing, compliance reporting, and the management of loan lifecycle events such as restructures, extensions, and redemptions.
Working closely with the wider Portfolio Operations team, you will help ensure all processes are completed accurately and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and operational control. You will also contribute to the preparation of client and regulatory reports, supporting the delivery of timely and reliable information to key stakeholders.
This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. By maintaining accuracy and consistency across all operational tasks, you will play a key part in delivering excellent service and positive outcomes for clients, while supporting the team’s commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of loan servicing activities, including variations, redemptions, and extensions.
- Support covenant testing and reporting to ensure ongoing compliance with borrower obligations.
- Support early arrears activity, including follow-up and documentation of customer contact.
- Assist in restructuring efforts, including coordination of documentation and internal communications.
- Maintain accurate records and workflows using internal systems, including nCino.
- Provide support across the team to ensure SLAs and service standards are met.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure servicing activities align with policy and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to process efficiency and promote effective team collaboration.
- Read and adhere to all relevant company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all risk-related responsibilities applicable to the role, as outlined in the Risk Management Policy.
- Follow all compliance and financial crime-related policies, procedures, and reporting obligations relevant to the role.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–3 years’ experience in financial services or lending operations, or graduate-level education with relevant exposure.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of lending products and servicing processes.
- Familiarity with arrears, collections, and enforcement is beneficial.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using systems to manage tasks and maintain documentation.
- Eager to learn and develop within a high-performing team.
