The Portfolio Monitoring Associate is responsible for overseeing private credit portfolios, preparing reports, responding to data requests and supporting monitoring processes.
Hayfin are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Portfolio Monitoring team within the Private Credit business. Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Monitoring, this role plays a critical part in overseeing the performance, risk, and ongoing health of our Western Europe focused lending portfolio. You will work closely with borrowers and internal teams: including Investments, Finance, and Investor Relations, while supporting key monitoring processes and providing guidance to junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a portfolio of deals - preparing high‑quality internal reporting, supporting the post‑funding credit process, and delivering clear, insightful updates to external stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted business partner, responding to asset‑level data requests and ensuring stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.
- Support the evolution of our monitoring and reporting framework, helping to shape best‑in‑class processes and proactively analysing portfolio data to generate meaningful insights for the investment team.
- Contribute to strengthening data integrity and governance across the private credit platform, ensuring our reporting and systems remain robust as the business scales.
Requirements
- 4-5 years relevant experience in Private Credit or Leveraged Finance.
- Superior quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Strong working knowledge of finance, accounting, and fluency with reading financial statements across different sectors.
- Ability to act autonomously when appropriate and know when to escalate matters.
- Highly organised and attentive to detail.
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
