LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)
Portfolio Management Workflows, Senior Product Manager
The Portfolio Management Workflows role is responsible for delivering and evangelising the end‑to‑end buy‑side workflow strategy across LSEG’s Investment Management & Execution Services (IMES), spanning Portfolio Analytics suite, AlphaDesk, REDI on Workspace, and TORA.
This role plays a central part in unifying the investment lifecycle—from research and portfolio construction through order management, execution, oversight, and reporting—into a single, coherent workflow narrative that is compelling to both internal stakeholders and clients.
The role is deeply product‑led, grounded in data‑driven decision‑making, market insight, customer telemetry, sales performance analysis, and continuous discovery.
It also requires strong subject‑matter expertise in buy‑side portfolio workflows and the ability to work cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales (SAM), Implementation, and Client Success teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Product‑Led Ownership
- Drive the strategy for Portfolio Management Workflows across IMES, ensuring alignment with IMES strategic priorities and enterprise‑wide workflow initiatives.
- Develop and articulate the end‑to‑end buy‑side workflow vision, connecting Portfolio Analytics, AlphaDesk, REDI on Workspace, and TORA into a unified client value proposition.
- Drive a discovery‑led roadmap process—framing problems, defining outcomes, quantifying impact, and ensuring work aligns to measurable value pools and IMES growth goals.
2. Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning
- Continuously monitor market, regulatory, and industry trends affecting buy‑side workflows, portfolio analytics, OMS, and execution management.
- Benchmark competitor offerings across the lifecycle (idea generation → portfolio construction → order management → execution → oversight) and identify gaps and opportunities for IMES differentiation.
3. Data‑Driven Insights & Telemetry
- Own the analysis and interpretation of IMES product telemetry (usage, adoption, retention, feature utilization, workflow penetration) across Portfolio Analytics, AlphaDesk, REDI, and TORA.
- Partner with Finance and SAM leadership to track sales performance data, including gross and net sales, renewals, churn, wallet share, and cross‑sell effectiveness.
- Use data insights to inform product prioritisation, identify high‑impact interventions, and continuously refine workflow success metrics.
4. Voice of Customer, Feedback Collation & Discovery
- Establish a structured feedback pipeline from clients, SAM, CSM, Implementation, and Product Specialists to identify workflow pain points and unmet needs.
- Consolidate insights from pilots, beta programs, and strategic accounts to surface emerging workflow trends and influence product direction.
5. Workflow Storytelling & Commercial Enablement
- Champion and “sell the story” of LSEG’s unified buy‑side workflow to SAM, strategic clients, and partners—positioning IMES as the natural end‑to‑end solution for Portfolio Managers, Risk teams, Traders, and CIOs.
- Produce clear workflow narratives, sales enablement materials, and client‑facing content that demonstrate how Portfolio Analytics, AlphaDesk, TORA, and REDI work together seamlessly.
- Coach SAM on workflow‑based selling rather than feature‑based selling.
6. Implementation Excellence & Client Consultancy
- Work with Implementation teams to ensure consultants and engineers are fully trained on end‑to‑end workflow capabilities, integration paths, and soft‑selling techniques.
- Ensure Implementation teams can articulate the workflow vision, identify cross‑module upsell opportunities, and support client onboarding with an advisory mindset.
7. Product Development Partnership
- Help clarify workflow requirements and ensure cross‑product consistency across PA, AlphaDesk, REDI, and TORA.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert (SME) on buy‑side portfolio workflows, supporting Product Managers with:
- backlog definition,
- product grooming sessions,
- sprint planning inputs, and
- JIRA requirement shaping.
- Continue to assist IM and OEMS Product leads to identify and progress areas of consolidation and integration, especially between Portfolio Analytics and OEMS applications.
8. Cross‑Functional Leadership and collaboration
- Build strong relationships with leaders across Product, Engineering, Design, Implementation, SAM, Finance, Market Intelligence, and Strategy.
- Act as the workflow “glue” ensuring cross‑product coherence, shared KPIs, and aligned execution across all IMES pillars.
