Additional responsibility involves overseeing and managing corporate issues management, collaborating closely with the EMEA Communications team to mitigate risks and protect the brand.

What you'll do

  • Define and articulate Adobe’s policy messaging and positioning for external engagements and thought leadership.
  • Advance stories on key policy and advocacy topics, including creativity, AI, trust & choice, AI ethics, and innovation.
  • Serve as the lead for policy matters, training and guiding spokespeople on core messages and risks.
  • Partner with Government Relations, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to align policy communications with business priorities.
  • Build relationships with internal leaders and external organizations to advance Adobe’s policy and industry priorities.
  • Facilitate discussions that incorporate diverse viewpoints and strengthen policy analysis.
  • Lead consultants and agency partners to deliver creative, impactful initiatives and measure programme success.
  • Continuously seek feedback to improve communication and engagement strategies.

Issues Management

  • Lead the issues management process, partnering closely with both the EMEA Communications team and Global Communications to ensure alignment and effective response to emerging risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams – including Government Relations, Legal, Privacy, and Security – to anticipate, assess, and address issues that may impact Adobe’s reputation.
  • Integrate issues management with policy communications by proactively considering the macro and regulatory environment, ensuring that responses and strategies are informed by broader trends and developments.
  • Provide strategic counsel and develop response plans for critical issues, ensuring timely and coordinated action in country, across the region and business functions.
  • Lead media conversations with reporters to manage and respond to issues.

What you need to succeed

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in media communications, digital media technology, or public policy, with a proven track record in the UK/EU context.
  • Deep understanding of the policy environment, including current trends and future directions.
  • Expertise in issues management and skills in judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience crafting communication strategies and content policies across multiple topics and jurisdictions.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial content licensing, IP, trademark, copyright, and online safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale policy development and implementation across business lines.
  • Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
