We offer reasonable adjustments throughout the hiring process and are dedicated to creating a supportive, accessible environment for everyone.

Clearance: Must be eligible for UK high level clearance and UK sole national.

We're seeking a PMO Lead to establish, lead, and optimize programme scheduling services within a specific phase of a programme, ensuring effective delivery of strategic initiatives across their workstream. You'll build and maintain integrated programme schedules that provide delivery teams with a clear, reliable view of progress, using evidence-based planning to establish a single source of truth for milestones, dependencies, risks, and delivery confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

PMO Leadership & Governance

  • Establish project management standards, methodologies, templates, and best practices for programme scheduling
  • Ensure alignment of planning processes with organisational goals, compliance requirements, and industry standards
  • Conduct regular schedule audits and quality assurance reviews

Portfolio & Program Management

  • Develop and maintain programme and project schedules using DXC standard planning tools
  • Map milestones and deliverables to contract requirements and ensure alignment across the programme
  • Manage visibility of initiatives, dependencies, risks, and resource needs across the workstream
  • Guide prioritisation and sequencing of projects in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Provide oversight to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Track progress, update plans, and produce executive-level reporting packs, dashboards, KPIs, and schedule insights
  • Manage stage gates, baselines, and change control, ensuring governance standards are met
  • Track project progress, financials, risks, and issues; ensure escalation paths are established and followed
  • Analyse portfolio data and make recommendations to improve project outcomes and resource utilisation

Stakeholder Partnership & Communication

  • Facilitate planning workshops and work closely with project teams, PMO, and senior stakeholders
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executives and key stakeholders on programme schedule performance
  • Facilitate steering committees and governance forums
  • Strengthen communication across project teams to ensure alignment and effective decision-making

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and manage schedule risks, issues, and cross-workstream dependencies
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and reporting
  • Evaluate and refine PMO processes, tools, and technologies to increase efficiency and scalability
  • Champion process optimisation, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years' experience in programme or portfolio planning in complex, multi-project environments
  • Strong skills with planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, PowerBI, Excel)
  • Knowledge of project and programme methodologies (MSP, PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, hybrid)
  • Excellent communication, analytical ability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing complex, cross functional projects in a matrixed environment
  • Must be eligible for UK high level clearance and UK sole national
What will make you stand out:
  • Professional project/programme management certifications (PMQ, MSP, or PMO specific credentials preferred)
  • Experience of complex programmes in a BPO contract setting
  • Experience in enterprise PMO environments and/or automated reporting
  • Familiarity with Agile planning techniques

What success looks like: Reliable, accurate programme schedules; insightful reporting; strong dependency and risk management; improved delivery confidence across the programme; and effective governance frameworks that drive transparency and consistent project outcomes.
