About the role
As a Platform & Application Support Engineer, you will play a key role in configuring, maintaining, and extending the core platforms that underpin Recognise Bank’s operations, primarily nCino (Salesforce), Mambu, Dynamics 365, and our evolving internal integration services. This role is hands-on, technical, and business-critical. You will be responsible for the stability and scalability of platforms that deliver lending, onboarding, payments, and business operations. Day to day, you will work closely with engineers, vendors, and business users to deliver changes, resolve issues, and improve processes, with a heavy emphasis on Salesforce and nCino configuration and workflows. We are growing fast, and this role is essential to ensuring our platform landscape continues to scale securely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the configuration, support, and enhancement of the nCino and Salesforce platform, including admin setup, user roles, page layouts, flows, and permission sets.
- Collaborate with the tech team and product teams to deploy features, maintain clean configuration, and support change requests.
- Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot key business platforms including Mambu, Dynamics 365, Bottomline, and ClearBank integrations.
- Work with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into configuration or small development changes across platform tooling.
- Monitor and maintain platform health; investigate and resolve incidents, manage data integrity issues, and proactively optimise system performanceReview and test changes across environments, support user training, and coordinate UAT and operational readiness.
- Support integration testing and work closely with integration engineers to ensure seamless end-to-end workflows.
- Document configuration changes, support runbooks, technical notes, and platform FAQs to help scale internal knowledge.
- Collaborate with vendors such as nCino and Mambu to raise tickets, resolve platform issues, and track roadmap changes.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the team’s working practices, toolsets, and service delivery
Required Skills & Experience
- 4 or more years in platform support, application operations, or Salesforce admin/development roles, preferably within a regulated environment such as banking or fintech.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Salesforce (Sales or Service Cloud preferred), with strong understanding of configuration best practices.
- Exposure to nCino or similar Salesforce managed packages or lending platforms.
- Working knowledge of Apex triggers and classes, Salesforce flows, validation rules, SOQL and formula logic; ability to liaise with development teams and debug issues.
- Experience supporting systems such as Mambu, Dynamics 365, or other SaaS applications.
- Comfortable working with REST APIs, JSON payloads, and integration workflows; not hands-on development, but able to triage and API test.
- Strong familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and change-controlled environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, investigation, and communication skills; able to liaise confidently with technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to balance competing BAU, change, and incident priorities while maintaining a structured and collaborative approach.
