What You’ll Do At Elekta:
The Physics Verification Engineer will draw on their past experiences as a Medical Physicist in Radiation Therapy to create and run solution-level test procedures, delivering verification that demonstrates the Elekta Medical Linear Accelerator and MR Linac solution (comprising a number of contributing products) works as a cohesive unit and fulfils its intended purpose from a clinical physics perspective.
Responsibilities:
Maintain expert domain knowledge of Medical Physics within Radiation Therapy.
Develop and maintain broad knowledge of products across the Linac solution.
Offer physics overviews and insight to the team for example, end to end clinical workflows, end to end QA workflows, system demonstrations.
Support risk-based testing approaches aligned with medical device safety standards.
Maintain awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks (IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 13485), AAPM TG-142 (Machine QA), AAPM TG-51 (Output calibration / dosimetry), AAPM TG-218.
Ensure full traceability between requirements, test cases, and execution results.
Analyse test data using appropriate quantitative methods to verify solution requirements within clinical tolerances.
Review solution level requirements for testability as part of developing test procedures.
Create Test Procedures to cover allocated requirements and review allocated test procedures for adequacy of test coverage.
Provide support to our automation testers in the development of automated workflow tests.
Assist Solution Verification Team Lead in the identification of regression test sets.
Work with the Test Facilities team to ensure the necessary equipment and system configuration are in place for planned Solution Verification activities and run approved test procedures against the solution recording results accurately.
Take ownership/responsibility to drive blockers and issues found to satisfactory resolution through own action, or collaboration with others as appropriate.
Create problem reports, ensuring clear steps to reproduce are captured for issues found.
Complete any required retesting of raised problem reports and previously failed test runs.
Ensure changes made to the systems under test are reverted to a known good baseline.
Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tools, and automation frameworks.
What You'll Bring:
Advanced degree(s) in Medical Physicist with at least 3 years recent clinical / research experience in a radiotherapy department
Experience in performing QA in a radiotherapy department
Elekta product knowledge preferred: Monaco TPS, MOSAIQ, VersaHD etc.
Strong experience in one or more programming languages preferred
Thorough understanding of the intended use of new products, coupled with the ability to translate this understanding of the requirements into structured and comprehensive test plans and procedures.
Must be self-motivated and able to interact well with others.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills.
Awareness of SAFe Agile framework is an advantage.
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Elekta linac systems and associated software solutions is considered an advantage.
Ability to work independently in clinically representative test environments is considered an advantage.
