Job Description

We’re looking for a talented Content Writer to join our dynamic team and help us educate, inspire, and engage our audience. The Content Writer’s key role is to write news, articles, content and analysis for the AJ Bell website to help increase engagement with customers and prospective customers. 

As a Content Writer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting compelling, accurate, and engaging content that aligns with our brand voice and supports our mission to simplify investing for everyone. You will collaborate with various teams, including marketing, PR and product, to create high-quality content that resonates with our audience and drives user engagement. 

What does the job involve? 

  • Research, write and edit a variety of content for retail investor audience
  • Write top-quality copy to deadlines
  • Simplify complex investment concepts into easy-to-understand language for diverse audiences 
  • Optimise content for SEO to increase organic visibility and traffic 
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments and financial news to ensure timely and relevant content 
  • Maintain and adhere to the brand’s tone, style, and content guidelines 
  • Formulate new content ideas that are in line with AJ Bell’s business objectives 
  • Analyse content performance metrics and use insights to refine strategies and improve engagement.
  • Potential to contribute to the AJ Bell podcasts, videos and webinars, where required 
  • Support and enable the business to deliver good outcomes for retail customers by helping achieve any regulatory requirements, including consumer duty 

What you'll have:

  • Proven experience as a Content Writer, preferably in the finance or investment sector. This role may suit someone looking for their second role in the industry.
  • Understanding of financial industry, including pensions, ISAs, funds, investing and personal finance. 
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience using metric tools is desirable but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
